A cost index, not another opinion site
ChainCosts answers one question: what does it actually cost to use a given crypto exchange, swap service, or tool — in your country, today, according to the provider's own published pages. Every number on the site carries a source link and a verification date. If we cannot cite it, we do not publish it.

Fees, limits, and availability extracted from official provider pages, each with a source.
Pricing and availability differ by country, so pages are built per market, EU included.
Every page passes deterministic quality checks before it goes live.
What ChainCosts is
ChainCosts is an index of the published costs of crypto services: trading and withdrawal fees on exchanges, spreads and service charges on swap providers, and pricing of related tools. Facts are extracted from the providers' official pages — fee schedules, pricing pages, documentation — and stored with the source URL and the date we last verified them. Comparison verdicts are computed from those facts by fixed rules, not written to fit a narrative; the rules are public on the methodology page.
Because fees and availability differ by region, the index is built per market. The same provider can be the cheap option in one country and unavailable in another, and the site reflects that instead of averaging it away.
Who runs it
The site is run by the ChainCosts Data Desk — a small independent team that builds the data pipeline, maintains the source records, and reviews the checks that gate publication. We are not owned by, invested in, or operated by any exchange or provider we index. The site is funded by referral commissions, disclosed in full on the how we earn page, and commissions have no say in verdicts.
What we do not do
- No custody. We never hold, transfer, or touch funds or crypto assets. Nothing on this site can accept a deposit.
- No accounts. There is nothing to register for. The only thing you can leave us is an optional contact for alerts, and that is opt-in.
- No advice. We report published costs; we do not recommend assets, strategies, or providers for your situation. See the terms of use.
- No paid placement. Providers cannot buy a ranking, a verdict, or a competitor's removal.
Talk to us
Corrections, source updates, and partner questions all go through the contact page. If a figure on the site disagrees with the provider's official page, send the link — pages with a confirmed stale fact get re-verified and rebuilt.
